I forgot my password / how do I reset my password?
You can create a new password by clicking the Forgot Password link on the log in page of the mobile app.
I forgot my User ID. How can I retrieve that information?
You can see your User ID by clicking the Forgot User ID link on the log-in page and following the appropriate steps. This will take you to thrivent.com to recover your User ID.
If I am already registered on thrivent.com, do I need to register for the mobile app?
No. The same User ID and password you use on thrivent.com can be used for the mobile app. You can also log in to the mobile app using the email address associated with your thrivent.com account.
What are the User ID requirements?
Your User ID must:
  • Have 6 – 20 characters. 
  • Begin and end with a letter or number. 
  • Not contain your email address. 
  • Not contain special characters or spaces. 
  • Not be your Social Security number or Thrivent ID. 
What are the password requirements?
Your password must:
  • Have 8 – 20 characters. 
  • Have at least one number. 
  • Not contain your User ID. 
  • Not contain special characters except: - _ = + / . 
  • Not contain more than three of the same character in a row. 
Can I log in using my email address?
Yes, you can use your email address on file with Thrivent or your User ID to log in.
What phone number will verification code texts come from?
Texts with a verification code for the mobile app will come from (833) 797-1157.
Note: This is different from thrivent.com verification texts, which come from (833) 827-4162.
What do I do if I get locked out of my account or cannot log in?
If you are having issues, please call Client Services at 800-847-4836 and say "mobile." Client Services is available Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Central time.

App access requirements

What information needs to be on file to register on the mobile app?
Your full name, address and date of birth need to be on file with Thrivent before you can log in to the app.

IMPORTANT: Before you download the app, you must have a unique mobile number and a unique email address on file. This means that if you and your spouse, child or other family member have the same email address or mobile number on file, you must update that information before attempting to log in to the app.

You can update your information by going to  thrivent.com/updateinfo.
Is my phone supported?
You must have an iPhone 8 (or newer) with iOS 13 (or later) or an Android device with OS 10.0 (or later) to use the app.
How can I download the app?
For iPhone users, visit the Apple App Store and search for Thrivent, or go to thrivent.com/app to find a link to the Apple App Store.

For Android users, visit the Google Play Store and search for Thrivent, or go to thrivent.com/app to find a link to the Google Play Store.
Who can use the mobile app?
To use the app, you must have:
  • An iPhone 8 or newer with iOS 13 or later or an Android device with OS 10.0 or later. 
  • At least one Thrivent product (not including Credit Union). 
  • A unique mobile number and email address on file with Thrivent. This means that if you and your spouse, child or other family member have the same email address or mobile number on file, you must update that information before attempting to log in to the app. You can update your information by going to  thrivent.com/updateinfo.
I am the joint owner of a product—does the app allow access for more than one owner of a single product?
Yes. Each owner has a unique Thrivent ID and will need to have a unique mobile number and a unique email address on file before logging in to the app.

This means that if you and your spouse, child or other family member have the same email address or mobile number on file, you must update that information.

You can update your information by going to  thrivent.com/updateinfo. It is important to take this step before attempting to log in to the app.
Why am I required to provide a mobile number?
Mobile numbers are used as part of the verification/authentication process for the app.

Privacy & security

Is my data protected if I use the app?
Yes. The app will follow our existing policies regarding user privacy and security. Please refer to our  privacy policy  for the protection of your information.
Are biometrics supported?
After your first log in, devices that support face ID or touch ID will give you the option to set up face ID or touch ID.

Features & benefits

When new features are added, how do I update my app?
The app should update on its own, but if your app is not updating automatically, you can update it manually:

iPhone instructions:
  • Open the Apple App Store. 
  • Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen. 
  • Scroll to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app, or tap Update All. 
Android instructions:
  • Open the Google Play Store app. 
  • Tap manage apps & devices. Apps with an update available are labeled “Update available.” 
  • Tap Update. 
Can I do everything in the mobile app that I can do on thrivent.com?
At this time, the mobile app doesn’t have the full functionality of thrivent.com. We are working to introduce more features in the coming months, and those features will be added through regular updates to the app. Visit thrivent.com/app for a brief list of features.
