Thrivent members,
Life doesn’t unfold in neat or predictable ways. Priorities change. Families grow. Responsibilities shift. Even when life is going well, it’s easy to feel pulled in different directions.
I experienced this when I first became CEO of Thrivent. I was honored and excited. I also felt the weight of the responsibility. There was a lot to learn, and not every answer was immediately clear.
Over time, I found my footing. I didn’t have all the answers, but I stayed focused on earning the trust of our members and our team, and I learned every day. I also drew strength from our members—from the resilience, generosity and perspective you show in your own lives.
That’s why this issue of Thrivent Magazine feels especially meaningful. In it, you’ll hear from members navigating different seasons of life, making important decisions and finding ways to move forward with greater clarity. The stories are different, but they share a common truth: Peace of mind isn’t found in having every answer. It often comes through preparing thoughtfully and taking purposeful action.
That kind of steadiness starts with staying anchored in what matters most: faith, values and relationships. It grows when we make purposeful choices about where we’re headed. And that’s where trusted advice can make a difference.
In times of change, we might not have perfect clarity. But we can be clear about what matters most, and we can take the next step.
Thank you for being a Thrivent member. We’re grateful for the trust you place in us and for the opportunity to walk alongside you in every season.
