Board Member

Lynn Crump-Caine has been a member of the Thrivent Board of Directors since 2016. She serves as chair of the Governance committee and also serves on the Human Resource and Executive committees.

With her deep experience in executive management, operations and business, Crump-Caine helps ensure that Thrivent delivers on its promise of helping people achieve financial clarity, enabling lives of meaning and gratitude.

Crump-Caine spent 30 years of her career at McDonald’s Corporation where she served as executive vice president of worldwide operations. In that role, she directed global operations departments for more than 31,000 McDonald’s restaurants worldwide. Prior to that position, she was senior vice president of U.S. operations. As a field executive, she was responsible for sales and profits of the largest McDonald’s domestic territory.

She is the founder of OutsideIn Consulting, a firm established in 2005 with a focus on business management and leadership development, where she coached managers and executives in the areas of leadership and execution, strategy development, business operations and communications.

Crump-Caine has completed executive education programs at Northwestern University, Harvard Business School and the McDonald’s Executive Development Program.

As a business and management leader, Crump-Caine also serves on the boards of directors for a variety of public and nonprofit companies, including Advocate Health and Wingstop. She is an executive mentor for The ExCo Group (formerly Merryck & Co. Ltd.), a worldwide firm that provides peer-to-peer mentoring services for C-suite executives and senior leaders, where she also serves as lead director of its board of directors. Previous directorships include Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and G&K Services. She is also a member of Women Corporate Directors. In addition, Crump-Caine has been recognized as a Dollars & Sense Outstanding Business Woman, Business Ledger’s Influential Woman in Business, Women Looking Ahead—Woman of the Year, and Outstanding Georgia Citizen.

Crump-Caine resides in Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband, John, and has two adult children. She attends First Baptist Church of Atlanta and is an active supporter of women’s and youth-based initiatives.
