What skill level is required to assemble the Thrivent Cause Kit, and are any tools needed?
Both builds are designed for easy assembly and any tools needed are included with the kit. The Solar Light Build involves steps that require fine motor skills. Instructions are included in both kits, making the process simple and straightforward.
Wouldn’t it be more efficient to have the kits assembled by professionals or the recipients themselves?
Efficiency is important and multi-faceted. Our partners (Wine To Water and SolarBuddy) have thoughtfully designed these programs to balance impact and cost—not only to deliver solutions, but to maximize the reach, sustainability and long-term effectiveness of humanitarian efforts.
By participating, you’re not just assembling a kit—you’re modeling kindness, raising awareness, building human connection and inspiring others to take action, amplifying the impact far beyond a single event. While one kit may seem small, the collective impact is significant. Thrivent clients have assembled thousands of solar lights and water filters, providing essential resources to communities worldwide.
