You’ve probably seen them. The dancing players. The sold-out stadiums. The viral moments. The Savannah Bananas have become one of the most recognizable brands in sports by doing something simple, but powerful: They put people first.

We recently sat down with Jesse and Emily Cole for a conversation titled “Playing for Something Bigger.” While much of their story is rooted in reimagining baseball through Banana Ball, the conversation goes deeper. Jesse and Emily shared insights on leadership, culture, creativity, and the importance of building something people genuinely want to be part of.

We also explored something new in their journey: Generosity. Through their nonprofit Bananas Foster, they are helping raise awareness and support for foster care communities—using their platform to shine a light on children and families in need.

Join us for a hands-on volunteer event as we partner with U.S. Hunger to provide meals and hope for individuals and families facing food insecurity. Our goal is to pack 26,000+ meals in just one morning and all meals will be donated to a local nonprofit.

This is a meaningful opportunity to serve alongside family and friends while putting Thrivent’s purpose of living generously into action.

Choose from two 1-hour shifts. Pizza and beverages will be provided to all volunteers in between shift change.

• Shift 1: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
• Shift 2: 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM

No experience necessary - simply come ready to pack meals and make a difference!
