Regional leadership
The Thrivent Member Network regional board is made up of Thrivent clients with membership. The board provides leadership and strategic insights to help carry out Thrivent's mission on a local level. Clients with membership can have a voice by voting in the elections for the Thrivent Member Network board.
A Thrivent member since 1999, David brings a unique blend of academic expertise and a heart for service to the Thrivent Member Network Regional Board of Directors. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and currently serves as a Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Texas at Dallas. Through his work in higher education, he engages closely with college students as they transition into their professional careers, offering valuable insight into the next generation.
Tim Johnson serves as Vice President and Director of Athletics at Oral Roberts University. With years of active experience, he has "seen regional Thrivent Member Networks in action for years. The good that is accomplished through the ability to help people, even in small ways, connects a community deeply and leaves people changed for the better," he says. He looks forward to contributing to this mission and helping expand Thrivent’s impact across the region.
James Coffelt brings decades of leadership and ministry experience to the Thrivent Member Network Regional Board of Directors. He serves as Executive Director of the Oklahoma State Association of Free Will Baptists and is a licensed and ordained minister with a strong commitment to community engagement. He is passionate about expanding awareness of Thrivent’s impact among members, organizations, and community partners.
Britney Wynn serves as Event Lead for US World Hunger and CIO of Next Wynn LLC. With prior experience at the Texas Legends and a strong background in volunteerism and leadership, she is dedicated to making a positive difference in her community. She looks forward to supporting Thrivent’s mission by helping expand and strengthen community connections in the region.
A Thrivent member since 1998, Michael Cuda is a partner at K&L Gates LLP in Dallas. He’s actively involved on the Lutheran Outdoors Ministry of Texas board of directors and on the Economic Development Board for the City of Arlington. He’s also a past president of his local Thrivent chapter. In his role on the board, he hopes to assist Thrivent in delivering its message of living generously.
National leadership
Our leaders work in the best interest of our membership––not third-party shareholders, like publicly traded companies. Clients with a benefit membership can vote in the annual election for the Thrivent Board of Directors. As the organization’s supreme governing body, the board focuses on serving the interests of the membership, both now and into the future. The board establishes and promotes Thrivent’s purpose and oversees major business decisions, and works with leadership to assess and manage risk.
