    Save a Tree. Plant a Tree. Paper Shredding Events and Fundraisers
    One best practice to protecting yourself from identity theft is shredding papers with personally identifiable information. The Thrivent Member Network - Nebraska Region has coordinated several contactless drive-thru shredding events to assist you in securely shredding your sensitive papers.
    Just by participating, you will be making a difference three-fold:
    • The Thrivent Member Network – Nebraska Region is supporting forest ecosystem restoration efforts with the Arbor Day Foundation by planting two trees in the Nebraska National Forest on behalf of each person who participates in our scheduled paper shredding events.
    • Thrivent will make a $10 donation for each vehicle that participates to the highlighted nonprofit of each event. Maximum of $750 will be donated to each nonprofit. 
    • Plus, know that your sensitive documents will be properly shredded on-site by Paper Tiger Shredding. Reduced waste in the landfills and reduced chances of identity theft.

    Columbus | Thursday, April 17, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. | 1554 18th Ave, Columbus; benefitting Scotus Central Catholic School's Advancement Department (north parking lot by the Activities Center entrance)
    Lincoln | Saturday, May 3rd, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. | Vital Services parking lot, 6400 Cornhusker Hwy, Lincoln; benefitting iFace Nebraska (located near the Main entrance)
    Springfield | Saturday, May 31, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. | Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 305 N 3rd Street, Springfield; benefitting Project Harmony
    Grand Island | Friday, June 6, 9:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. | Peace Lutheran Church, 1710 N Front Rd.; benefitting Ysleta Lutheran Mission
    Omaha | Saturday, June 21, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. |Salem Baptist Church, 3131 Lake St., Omaha; benefitting the Salem Baptist Church Food Pantry

    Please note: Drive-thru shredding will be located in the assigned parking lots.
    Four paper bags or bankers boxes allowed per vehicle. No tissue, newspaper, cardboard, magazines, or plastic allowed. Staples, paper clips, rubber bands, and folders are all acceptable.

    Money Canvas offers a series of free one-on-one meetings with a financial coach to help you see where your money is going and build healthier financial habits.

    Our coaching program is 100% free — no hidden agenda or sales pitch. Thrivent's unique not-for-profit business model allows us to invest back in our communities. We created Money Canvas with a simple goal of helping Americans get better at saving. Because you shouldn't have to spend money to get better at saving it.

    Each session lasts about one hour and tackles a unique aspect of day-to-day finances. Coaching is available in English and Spanish.
