Doors open at 5 p.m.
We are honored to welcome Chris Langlois, grandson of medic Eugene Gilbert “Doc” Roe, Sr. from the legendary Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, as our featured speaker. This legendary unit of American paratroopers during World War II was known for its extraordinary bravery, tight-knit brotherhood, and resilience under fire. First brought to the public eye in 1992 by historian Stephen Ambrose's book, "Band of Brothers", these soldiers became internationally famous by the HBO mini-series under the same name, produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. Their story is often cited as a powerful example of leadership, sacrifice, and camaraderie in the face of overwhelming odds. Chris will share powerful stories that carry forward the legacy of courage, service, and sacrifice.
