2026 Fall Food Shelf Challenge

Calling all clients with membership in the Western Iowa Region!

With Thanksgiving approaching, your Thrivent Member Network challenges you to make a difference by collecting food for your local food shelf. Partner with your church members, Sunday school, youth group, coworkers, neighbors, civic group, school or any like-hearted people, and your efforts will be doubled by a Generosity Multiplier Gift from your Thrivent Member Network. Open to the first 20 Thrivent clients in the Western Iowa Region.

From October 1-31, collect 500 non-perishable food items or more for your local food shelf and the organization will receive $500 from the Thrivent Member Network - Western Iowa Region. *

*One submission per church/group and one Generosity Multiplier Gift per submission, up to a maximum of $500. Your network's Generosity Multiplier Gift will be mailed directly to your food shelf on a first come, first served basis. Gifts will be awarded until the available challenge funding of $10,000 has been distributed. No products will be sold.

When completing the registration, please ensure you are registering yourself and your guests for the appropriate ticket type and shift
(Adult or Youth and 9a or 9:30a shift starts).

Meals from the Heartland loves seeing young volunteers make a difference! To help create a safe, meaningful, and enjoyable experience for everyone, we ask that youth volunteers package alongside an adult. Each table with children must have at least one adult present to provide guidance and supervision.

An Irish Christmas with Rend Collective

Join us for An Irish Christmas with Rend Collective, an evening of vibrant music, joyful celebration, and meaningful connection. Rend Collective will bring their signature Irish-inspired sound to the stage, creating a festive atmosphere that’s perfect for the whole family.

Whether you enjoy the music, the message, or the memories you’ll make along the way, this is a night you won’t want to miss. We’ll also have the opportunity to give back together by brining non-perishable food items for our nonprofit partner, DMARC, —making this season even more meaningful.

Tickets are complimentary for Thrivent members & guests (6 tickets per order) and seating is limited. Tickets will be distributed at Will Call the evening of the performance listed under the name of the primary guest on the registration - identification will be required.

Seating for the performance is general admission; doors open at 6 p.m.

We’re here to help you make a difference. Simply gather a team of friends, family or neighbors to put on a fundraiser, educational event or service activity. We’ll provide the resources you need to get started – including up to $250 in seed money. Once your application is approved, we'll send you a package of customized resources and digital tools to kick-start your project.

The Thrivent Action Team kit is also available in Espanol. If you live or work in a Spanish-speaking community, this customized kit will inspire you and your team throughout your project.

Your kit may include:

- Thank you cards, name tags, and stickers
- A Community Impact Card with up to $250 in seed money
