Regional leadership
The Thrivent Member Network regional board is made up of Thrivent clients with membership. The board provides leadership and strategic insights to help carry out Thrivent's mission on a local level. Clients with membership can have a voice by voting in the elections for the Thrivent Member Network board.
The Executive Director of Kristi Yamaguchi's Always Dream, Riddle wants to take what she’s learned in her development and marketing career to help Thrivent devise new marketing and brand awareness strategies to increase Thrivent’s visibility among all Christian faith communities in the Thrivent Member Network—Pacific Sierra. Riddle has been a lifelong Thrivent member.
A former Thrivent chapter leader, Olson wants to help in the transition to the Thrivent Member Network. A Thrivent member since 1964, Olson is the owner/principal of CMR Consultants, serving the California agricultural industry. He has actively served on a number of church and local boards over the years, and helped introduce the Thrivent Action Team concept in the Sacramento area.
After nearly 25 years in the corporate world, Vanessa is now the Founder and CEO of Love Never Fails, a local nonprofit that addresses anti-human trafficking in the Bay Area. Ms. Russell is also an ordained pastor who wants to fulfill God's calling to empower all people to experience and express their best part of humanity. Vanessa joined the board to expand her network and increase impact in local communities through Thrivent programs and services.
McCleskey is the North American Sales Manager for the Social Impact Sales team at Twilio, one of the world’s leading communication technology companies. McCleskey currently serves on the boards of United Way Worldwide ‘Future Advisory Strategy Team’, Solano County Community Housing, and Benicia Education Foundation. McCleskey joined the Thrivent Member Network Board because Thrivent is an organization serving Christians. While on the board, he hopes to bring financial literacy to all communities. Empowering all of us to make smart decisions – how to budget, save, borrow, and invest.
Our leaders work in the best interest of our membership––not third-party shareholders, like publicly traded companies. Clients with a benefit membership can vote in the annual election for the Thrivent Board of Directors. As the organization’s supreme governing body, the board focuses on serving the interests of the membership, both now and into the future. The board establishes and promotes Thrivent’s purpose and oversees major business decisions, and works with leadership to assess and manage risk.
