Thrivent Financial: $312 Million Dividend Payout for 2016
One of the key indicators of our financial health
We always have our member-owners in mind. Our structure as a membership-owned fraternal benefit society allows us to return a portion of our surplus to members in the form of dividends—unlike stock companies which answer to shareholders.
While the annual dividend distribution is not guaranteed, it is one of the many benefits of being a member.
The 2016 expected payout reinforces Thrivent's history of strength and stability … strength and stability that provides our members with opportunities to be generous where they live, work and worship.
What is a dividend?
A dividend is money paid to members who own eligible insurance products. Depending on the options in the contract, dividends may be used to increase coverage or value within the contract, reduce future premium payments, reduce contract loans or be paid directly to owners in the form of a check.
