Jill Louis appointed to serve on Thrivent's board of directors

Louis’ depth of knowledge and passion for service will complement the experience of Thrivent’s current board.

MINNEAPOLIS – Thrivent, a Fortune 500 diversified financial services organization, announced that Jill Louis has been appointed to serve on Thrivent’s board of directors. Her term on the board began on August 1, 2021.

Thrivent’s board consists of 13 members and is led by Bonnie E. Raquet, chair of the board. As the organization’s supreme governing body, the board oversees all matters involving Thrivent and focuses on serving the interests of our clients, now and into the future. Thrivent proudly serves more than 2 million clients and has $162 billion in assets under management/advisement (as of 12/31/20).

On the national board of directors, Louis will serve on the Finance and Audit and Investment Committees. She previously served as a regional board member for the Thrivent Member Network – Texas Region since October 2017, where she was recognized for her dedication and commitment to advancing Thrivent’s mission in the region.

Louis is currently managing partner at a major international law firm in Dallas, Texas. She was previously general counsel for a large private equity portfolio company and has spent her career working in both private practice and corporate law. Outside of work, Louis is actively engaged in her church and community, including serving on the Board of Trustees of Howard University and on the executive committees of the AT&T Performing Arts Center and North Texas Public Broadcasting, Inc.

Louis has a bachelor’s degree from Howard University and a juris doctor from Harvard Law School. She and her family reside in Dallas.
