Chief Executive Officer

Brad Hewitt serves as chief executive officer of Thrivent Financial. Hewitt joined the organization in 2003, was promoted to chief operating officer in November 2008 and was named president and chief executive officer in February 2010.
Hewitt began his career in 1982 with Securian in the Actuarial Services department. He later joined UnitedHealth Group (UHG) in 1986 as director of Underwriting before serving as CFO and later as CEO of Diversified Pharmaceutical Services (DPS), a division of UHG.
From 1998 to 2003, he served as chief administrative officer of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod in St. Louis, MO.
A native of Minneapolis, Hewitt graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics. He completed the Harvard Graduate School of Business Program for Management Development in 1995.
Hewitt currently serves on the board of Habitat for Humanity International, International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation, and American Council of Life Insurers. He also volunteers as co-chair of the Itasca "Mind the Gap" initiative, a public/private sector leadership group in the Twin Cities focused on reducing the barriers to opportunity and closing the achievement and income gap in the region. He is a member of The WHEREhouse Church, a new church plant in urban St. Paul.
Hewitt and his wife, Sue, live in Medicine Lake, Minnesota, and have two adult children.

Gibbons graduated from Trinity College-Hartford with a bachelor's degree in literary writing.
Director, Content Marketing
When it comes to Thrivent Financial's 2015 Money Mindset Report, Stacey can comment on key findings and draw the connections as to what these findings mean as Americans prepare for their financial futures.
Craig Stacey serves as the Director of Content Marketing at Thrivent Financial. In his current role, Stacey is responsible for national events and sponsorships, advertising, content marketing, and member communications including Thrivent magazine, the annual report and annual member meeting.
Prior to joining Thrivent in June 2013, Stacey was Senior Director of Health, Wellness and Pharmacy Marketing for SUPERVALU grocery and retail pharmacy. Other past roles include Brand Director for Ameriprise Financial, National Communications Manager for Ford Motor Company (Lincoln-Mercury Division) and Multicultural Marketing Manager for Ford Motor Company.
In addition to his work at Thrivent, Stacey volunteers with HIRED, a Minnesota nonprofit organization specializing in workforce development and training for the unemployed. He has also been active with the Meals on Wheels program in the Twin Cities metro area, serving on the organization's board for four years.
Stacey graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in economics and public policy. He is also a recent graduate of the Tuck Business School Executive Program at Dartmouth College.
