Inspiring Generosity: Stories of Faith and Grace in Art

November 29, 2018 – March 2019

The current exhibition highlights the works of art featured in our new book, titled Inspiring Generosity: Stories of Faith and Grace in Art. Both explore examples of compassion, giving, and sacrifice expressed through scripture and in visual art.

The original prints, drawings, and manuscript illuminations span eight centuries of religious art. In addition to illustrating familiar parables like The Prodigal Son and The Good Samaritan, the images also delve into more complex stories of generosity, as in the accounts of Esther and Abraham, and the sacrificial generosity of Christ’s Passion.
