Web Site of the Month combines up-to-date information with colorful layout and graphics

Congratulations to the leaders of the Green Lake County Chapter (Wisconsin), especially to Barbara Schwark, records director and Web site administrator, whose site has been named Chapter Web Site of the Month for August.

The site has a fun, friendly and inviting layout through the use of colors and graphics while providing up-to-date information about upcoming meetings and activities, and cleverly includes pictures and sentences about the chapter's purpose at the top of some pages. Features that help make this site a winner include:

  • Nice layout with a good use of graphics, pictures and icons.
  • Excellent home page that welcomes visitors and provides announcement up front (e.g., next chapter meeting).
  • An up-to-date calendar that includes good information for each activity and meeting listed.
  • A complete list of the chapter leadership board along with their contact information.
  • Requests to consider being chapter leaders on the Meet Our Chapter Leaders page.

Barbara also credited the Web site template as a reason for making this site a winner. She recently learned web designing and jumped at the opportunity to be the Web site administrator. "I found it absolutely terrific that many of the templates were already laid out, so it made it much easier to work with," she commented.

You can visit the site at www.lutheransonline.com/greenlakecountychapter. Nice job Barbara!
