When chapter leaders add a chapter leader or congregational coordinator to Thrivent Financial's fraternal online system, they must enter the member's Thrivent ID (also known as member ID, CIF ID, customer ID, client ID, etc.). Unfortunately, many members do not know their Thrivent ID. (Thrivent IDs are 9-digit numbers that start with a 5.)

Chapter leaders can check chapter member lists that they can order via the Chapter Leadership Administration page in the For Chapter Leaders section on the Members/Chapters area of www.thrivent.com.

Here are different ways members can locate their own Thrivent ID:

• Call the Customer Interaction Center at 1-800-Thrivent (1-800-847-4836).
• Look at mail from Thrivent Financial:
  • New member welcome letter. The Thrivent ID is located above the address.
  • Membership certificate. Financial and family associate members receive a Membership Certificate with their welcome letter. (Full benefit members do not get a certificate.)
  • Personalized direct mail. The Thrivent ID is imaged on any response cards or forms for personalized direct mail offers for financial or fraternal products.
  • Many service forms.
  • Summary Statement.
  • Many product statements. This includes statements for Universal Life (UL), Variable Universal Life (VUL) and Annuities (VA). This does not include Traditional Life because no product statements are produced for those products. Mutual fund statements also do not contain the member's Thrivent ID.
• Look at Thrivent Financial publications:
  • Thrivent magazine. The head of household Thrivent ID is located on the mailing label.
  • Thrivent magazine reply card. The head of household Thrivent ID is on each reply card inside the magazine.
  • Financial Insights newsletter (not every household receives this newsletter).

Normal correspondence from Thrivent Financial, premium notices and Thrivent bank statements do not include the Thrivent ID.
