Sept. 17	Citizenship Day.
Oct. 1	Deadline for chapters to submit contributions for 2008 Midwest Flooding National Chapter Response.
Oct. 1	World Smile Day.
Oct. 3	Deadline for participating chapters to submit 2009 Thrivent Builds Homes chapter application.
Oct. 12	National Clergy Appreciation Day.
Oct. 13	Columbus Day (observed).
Oct. 18	Sweetest Day.
Oct. 25	Make A Difference Day. (Details)
Oct. 31	Reformation Day.
Nov. 2	Daylight-savings time ends.
Nov. 4	Election Day.
Nov. 10	Martin Luther’s Birthday, 1483.
Nov. 11	Veterans Day.
Nov. 22	National Family Volunteer Day. (Details)
Nov. 27	Thanksgiving Day (main offices closed).
Nov. 30	First Sunday in Advent
Dec. 18	The last day that new 2008 activity/funding requests can be made for any of the three chapter Care programs; the last day that previously approved funding amounts can be changed; and the last day that additional disbursements can be added to an existing activity. No exceptions can be made.
Dec. 19	The functionality to enter activity/funding requests online will be shut down.
Dec. 24	Christmas Eve. Fraternal Service Center scheduled to close early.
Dec. 25	Christmas Day (main offices closed).
Dec. 31	The desired last day to report all 2008 chapter activities online. This is the desired deadline because 20087 activities reported after Dec. 31 will not be counted for 2008 totals.
Dec. 31	Report all 2008 operating funds expenses on the Manage Chapter Operating Funds screens by this date.
Dec. 31	Last day for recording 2008 chapter election results
Dec. 31	Last day 2008 chapter leaders can access the online reporting system.
Dec. 31	Due date for chapters to submit a new Chapter Depository Authorization (bank signature card) and Security Questions Request form if there are changes to whom should have access to the chapter checking account in 2009. (PDF, 293K)
Dec. 31	Thrivent Builds chapter specialists and/or congregational champions should report all 2008 Thrivent Builds activities by this date.
Dec. 31	New Year’s Eve.
