Activities can be fund-raising activities (including appeals/collections) or hands-on service activities with funding limits according to the program guidelines. Activities must be preapproved-based on the program guidelines.
To qualify for funding through the three chapter Care programs, activities must involve at least one Thrivent Financial for Lutherans member from six different Thrivent Financial member households (at least six members who are from different member households). The funds are disbursed after the service team reports the results of the activity, according to the program guidelines. In the case of a hands-on service activity, 50 percent of the funds are available up-front, prior to the activity, for the purchase of necessary materials.
