Single Strategy Funds: Building Blocks for Your Portfolio

Single strategy funds are individual mutual funds that invest in different types of stocks or bonds.  You can use our single strategy funds as individual building blocks in an overall asset allocation strategy.

A Thrivent Financial representative can help you construct a portfolio that makes sense for you. Here’s an overview of what we offer:

  • Style spectrum coverage. Investment style is a broad philosophical umbrella under which a fund manager invests the fund’s assets. In short, the fund’s style determines the type of stocks or bonds the manager purchases for the fund. Thrivent Asset Management’s single strategy funds include the entire style spectrum: funds that invest in large, mid-size and small companies as well as growth and value-oriented companies.
  • Index funds. An index fund is a fund that attempts to replicate an index such as the S&P 500, which tracks the performance of the 500 largest U.S. companies. Thrivent’s Large Cap Index Fund, Mid Cap Index Fund and Small Cap Index fund provide exposure to large, mid-size and small companies.
  • Actively managed funds. An actively managed fund is one where our fund managers select securities based on extensive in-house research. Among our actively managed single strategy funds, several have long-term track records that rank them favorably compared to their peers (http://www.thrivent.com/investments/autodeploy/22184.pdf), according to Lipper, a fund data tracking company that ranks mutual funds based on performance. These include the Thrivent Large Cap Value Fund, the Thrivent Large Cap Growth Fund, the Thrivent Mid Cap Stock Fund and the Thrivent Limited Maturity Bond Fund.
