Placing an Order
To place an order, call us at 800-847-4836 during market hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. CST and we can take your order request. Customer service is available between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CST. Provide our discount brokerage representative with the following information:
- Type of order – buy or sell.
- Quantity and description of security.
- Type of order – market order, limit order, etc. (Types of orders are explained in the Glossary).
- Your name and discount brokerage account number. We may ask for additional information to verify identity.
- Daytime phone number.
The discount brokerage representative will repeat your order as received. If your order is not repeated exactly as you placed it, please request a correction immediately. For future reference, note the date, time and name of the discount brokerage representative that accepted the order.
Trade Confirmation
A written confirmation is sent the following business day. Please review all confirmations for accuracy.
Settlement of Your Trades
Most trades settle within three business days. Payment for all buy trades must be received by settlement date. Please do not wait for your confirmation statement before sending in your payment for trade. Instructions and amount of payment will be provided by the discount brokerage representative at time of confirmation. Sale proceeds will be handled in accordance with the settlement option selected on the new account application.
Please be sure to include your account number on all securities, checks, and correspondence.
