Irene Rodammer
Reese, MI
Tuscola County Chapter

Irene knows how to leverage funds. In large part due to her efforts, she and other congregational coordinators at St. Michael's Lutheran Church were able to turn $1,300 in funding from Thrivent Financial's Care in Congregations™ program into $78,365 in help delivered (funds raised and value of volunteer hours) through eight activities in the past year. That's a return on money that most investment managers would envy.

Serving as congregational coordinator, Irene was one of the first leaders in the new chapter system to accept and promote the system to her fellow congregational members. She implemented a system of promotion, based on the training provided, that made the most of the Care in Congregations™ program funds for which her church was eligible.

Irene is involved in her community through various volunteer efforts, including work with Lutheran Homes of Michigan, a local elder care facility, Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML), world missions, a local food pantry and the very popular Frankenmuth Winterfest, a weekend celebration of international championship ice-carving competitions and family fun.
