These four tools are the most widely used by Thrivent
chapters and volunteer service teams. Give them a try to get
the word out!
 Bulletin Insert
You’re just minutes away from a completed bulletin insert
when you use predesigned and prewritten templates—for
both Care Abounds in Communities® and Care in
Congregations® activities. If you receive permission from
the congregation to use a bulletin insert, just fill in your
activity information on the template, print, make copies
and distribute. These templates are available to you at
www.thrivent.com > Members/Chapters > Volunteer Resources > Forms.
Article in congregation's newsletter
Follow the guidelines to the right to draft a brief article for congregational
newsletters. Remember to outline the need, activity details and where to go
for additional information. (Before submitting the article, ask for permission from the congregation.)
 Chapter Postcards
Get the attention of all Thrivent members in your
chapter or a particular city or ZIP code. The Chapter Activity Postcard
includes the activity name, date, time, place, contact
information and brief details about the activity. The General Postcard
provides flexibility with an open field for your chapter to post content in the way they'd like it to appear. It is useful for making important announcements to the chapter membership.
If you are interested in using the postcards, please contact your chapter
leadership board to see if your request fits the guidelines. If approved, the
board completes the online postcard template and submits it for mailing.
After submitting, the postcard will arrive in members’ mailboxes within one
to two weeks.
 News Releases
Reach your community in a bigger way through a news release. Prewritten
templates make it easy—just fill in your activity information and submit the
release to local media. Releases for both Care Abounds in Communities® and
Care in Congregations® activities are available to you at www.thrivent.com >
Members/Chapters > Volunteer Resources > Forms.
Tips: For details on submitting a news release to your local media, working with
your local media or writing your own news release, see the Media Relations area of the
Visibility Toolkit.
