Our regional financial office covers all of Michigan, with the exception of Metro Detroit and the Western Upper Pennisula. Major cities that we serve include Bay City, Flint, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Midland, Saginaw and Traverse City.
Regional Highlights

Many organizations receive assistance through Thrivent Financial, our regional financial office and our members, including:
- Lutheran Homes of Michigan.
- Lutheran Child and Family Services.
- Kids Against Hunger.
- Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
In 2007, Thrivent Financial also contributed more than $1,644,000 to support Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity® in Michigan. Statewide, our members raised an additional $220,156 to help build 27 homes with partner families in need of decent, affordable housing.

Michelle E. Halverson, FIC
Michelle joined the organization in 1986 as a financial representative. Since then, her career path has included positions such as marketing specialist, compliance manager, divisional director and director of field talent transition for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
As Michelle worked her way up through the organization, it became evident that she had the qualities and skills to lead others to success. In 2007, she was offered a managing partner position within the Michigan Regional Financial Office.
Today, Michelle works closely with her team, providing guidance to help individuals reach their personal goals. She also has built a strong team environment that has helped the office continue to grow.
