Interest Interest is paid on a tiered rate. The more you save, the more you earn. Current rates.

Transaction limitations No limit on point of sale or signature-based transactions. However, the maximum number of checks written cannot exceed 3 per statement cycle.
There is a $2 fee for each check written above 3.

Amount to open An initial deposit of $50 opens the account.

Monthly fees A $10 fee is charged if the account falls below a $500 balance.
The monthly service fee can be avoided by a $25 monthly automatic payment into the account.

Excess contribution removal fee To comply with regulatory requirements limiting the amount of annual contributions, there is a $5 fee each time an excess contribution is removed from the account.

Fee to close A $20 fee is charged if the account is closed within 90 days of being opened.

Annual fees A $20 fee is charged at account opening, and annually thereafter, which amounts to less than $1.67 per month.
