(Chart Guide)

Investment Objective
  • Seeks long-term capital growth by investing primarily in small company common stocks and securities convertible into small company common stocks.
Investment Strategy
  • Invests in stocks of smaller companies with market capitalizations similar to those included in the S&P 600 Index and the Russell 2000 Index.
  • Invests in small companies that have good growth prospects, capable management and are financially sound.
Benefits of Investing in the Thrivent Small Cap Stock Portfolio
  • Broadly diversified Portfolio represents the small company universe, providing an attractive mix of both growth- and value-oriented stocks.
  • History has proven that small-caps produced the highest returns over longer periods of time compared to all other asset classes.*
  • Small-cap stocks take advantage of the opportunities within an inefficient market for long-term capital growth.
  • Backed by strong research, the Portfolio strives to outperform the S&P 600 SmallCap Index and peers with superior stock selection.
Special Investment Risks
  • The Portfolio is exposed to the risks of investing in equity securities of smaller companies, which may include, but are not limited to, higher credit risks such as defaulted debt, bankruptcy, mergers, reorganizations and liquidations. Small company stock prices are generally more volatile than large company stock prices. These and other risks are described in the prospectus.
Investment Minimums
  • All initial and subsequent investment minimums exist at the contract level. Most subaccounts carry no investment minimums. The minimum Fixed Period Allocation is $1,000. The minimum allocation to a Return Protection (RP) subaccount is $10,000. See the Prospectus for additional information.
