Pam Moret oversees Thrivent Financial for Lutherans product, marketing, banking and business development functions. Moret joined Thrivent Financial as senior vice president of marketing and products in 2002.

Prior to joining the organization, she was CEO of IDS Life Insurance Co., a unit of American Express Financial Advisors, and senior vice president-products for American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise). Prior to American Express, Moret was an attorney for the Minneapolis law firm of Leonard, Street and Deinard.

A native of Fargo, N.D., Moret graduated with honors from the University of North Dakota - Grand Forks in 1975 receiving a bachelor of arts degree in political science. In 1979, she received a juris doctor degree from George Washington University, Washington, D.C., earning the Order of the Coif and Law Review.

Moret currently serves on the boards of Minnesota Public Radio and Luther Seminary. She is also a member of the Minnesota Women’s Economic Roundtable. In 1999, Moret was also inducted into the YWCA Academy of Women Achievers.
