Jennifer Martin oversees the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans’ employment, organization development, benefits, performance management and human resources services functions. Martin joined the organization in 1995 and assumed her current position at the time of the merger that formed Thrivent Financial in 2002.

Prior to joining Thrivent Financial, Martin led human resources for two divisions at Unisys Corp., Minneapolis. From 1970-1985, she held various teaching positions with Minneapolis public schools.

Martin serves on the board of regents for Augsburg College in Minneapolis, in addition to the Children's Home Society board.

A native of Effingham, Ill., Martin graduated from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, in 1970 receiving a bachelor of science degree in education. She later earned a master’s degree and a doctorate in education from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
