Grants

There are many types of grants, volunteer programs and assistance available through Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, its chapter system and through other associated foundations.
  • Fraternal Programs
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans' chapter structure gives members a vehicle to demonstrate their care and concern for others. Three new chapter care programs are the main resources members can use to show their care and concern for others:

    • Care in Congregations® - Thrivent Financial members receive financial support and other resources for volunteer projects and/or fund-raising activities that benefit Lutheran congregations and related Lutheran organizations, including schools.

    • Care Abounds in Communities® - Thrivent Financial members receive financial support and other resources for volunteer projects and/or fund-raising activities that benefit individuals, families, local communities or organizations that are exempt from federal income tax under section 501©(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, excluding congregations. Members submit activity/funding requests to their local Thrivent chapter leadership board.

  • Lutheran Community Foundation
The Lutheran Community Foundation consists of a collection of charitable funds established by individuals and organizations to benefit causes that touch each donor's heart. Lutheran charitable, non-profit organizations are encouraged to submit an organization profile to be listed in the Foundation's CharityFinder—a tool to help donors identify needs in the Lutheran community.
